Marty Zanghi is a social worker and advocate who has engaged with communities, foundations, the child welfare sector and youth for over 35 years to find solutions to complex social issues. In 1996, Marty founded and directed the Youth and Community Engagement Team at the Muskie School of Public Service. In that same year, he created the Youth Leadership Advisory Team (YLAT), one of the first youth-in-care leadership models in the country which has been replicated at state and national levels. Since 2019, Marty has worked with the Annie E. Casey Foundation to advance public policies, practices and services that directly impact the lives of young people and families. Marty is a seasoned facilitator, community organizer and network builder who is deeply committed to equity, engagement and impact.
