Joan M. Morse, M.S.W. has worked in organizations serving children, youth and families for over 40 years. She has provided training and technical assistance to states, tribes and territories on youth development, permanency, youth and family engagement, recruitment, development of support of resource families and kin, stakeholder engagement, and workforce development. Ms. Morse currently serves as a consultant for the Center for States as well as other organizations. She was the Assistant Director at the National Resource Center for Permanency and Family Connections at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. She was responsible for the development of all web-based toolkits on family engagement, concurrent planning, siblings, placement stability and youth permanency. She created the Digital Stories from the Field project and has worked with child welfare constituents to share their stories.
